THE CARD SHOWS THE FOLLOWING. IN THE EARLY 1950'S TEEDER KENNEDY WAS CONSIDERED ONE OF THE BIGGEST HOCKEY HEROES IN CANADA AND HE SERVED AS CAPTAIN OF THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS.
AS A RESULT HE WAS GIVEN THE PRIVILEGE OF GREETING PRINCESS ELIZABETH AT AN AFTERNOON GAME IN MAPLE LEAF GARDENS AGAINST THE CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS ON OCTOBER 13, 1951. A FEW MOMENTS LATER SHE SUCCEEDED HER FATHER , KING GEORGE VI, AND BECAME QUEEN ELIZABETH.
THE BROWN SWATCH ON THE CARD IS A PIECE FROM GAME-USED TED KENNEDY SHOULDER PADS. THE CARD HAS BEEN SLABBED AS A GRADED CARD. IT IS SERIALLY NUMBERED 01/01 AND NUMBER 0257 OF 4000 IN THE HISTORY OF HOCKEY COMPLETE PRODUCT SERIES. THE CARD IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAS BEEN STORED SAFELY IN A GRADED SLEEVE SINCE BEING REMOVED FROM A PACK OF CARDS DURING THE 2012-13 HOCKEY SEASON.
